D'ORLANDO BROTHERS GIVE A PEAK INTO WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY'RE NOT IN A SEAT
May 7, 2019
As the 2019 motorsports season kicks off, the hardest thing any race car driver might have to do is watch from the sidelines while the off-track details all come together. But for Michael and Nicholas d'Orlando, that doesn't mean they're actually sitting on the sidelines waiting for their turn, these dedicated drivers are doing anything but that.
The d'Orlando Brothers and d'Orlando Enterprises have been busy off-track this year, and are working hard to build business-to-business relationships for their current partners and build the budget required to compete. Hosting networking events at prestigious venues such as Classic Car Club Manhattan is just the tip of the iceberg.
Michael and Nicholas can be found at the forefront of more than just the race grid. Recently, as key members of the Junior Varsity 8 crew team with Iona Preparatory School, these amazing athletes were once again on a podium at the Saratoga Invitational Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY. And when they're not on the water training with Iona to keep them in the physical condition they need to compete in a race car, they can be found at other prestigious networking events such as the Caffeine & Carburetors car rally in New Canaan, CT, some NYC Auto Show preview events for motor companies such as Rivian, Audi and Pininfarina, the New York Auto Show main event and other networking opportunities such as private suites at NYCFC games at Yankee Stadium. Most importantly, the brothers continue to keep focus on supporting local charities such as the Mercy Center - Bronx at their annual Gala event.
The itch to drive doesn't subside while off-track business gets done. And although the morning workouts on the water with Iona, the weekend regattas, and training at UFC Gym all keep the drivers in the physical shape required for on-track competition, the need for speed remains. To scratch the itch, Michael and Nicholas can be found racing for the checkered flag at Grand Prix New York in Mt Kisco, NY or putting in laps and getting familiar with the various tracks on the state-of-the-art racing simulators at Classic Car Club Manhattan.
