After the sudden halt of on-track action in St Petersburg, FL last March due to the COVID 19 pandemic, Michael d'Orlando is now geared up and ready-to-race and is looking forward to kicking off the 2020 Road to Indy driver development program once again in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship series.

The revised schedule for the Road to Indy was released a few short weeks ago, and the teams have spent countless days and hours preparing their equipment and drivers to get back on track. After topping the charts at the official series test at Mid-Ohio last week, d'Orlando and his Cape Motorsports team are now set to take on the famed road course in beautiful Elkhart Lake, WI on July 9-10 at Road America.

The USF2000 series 18-race season schedule has been updated and condensed into eight separate race weekends. Series organizers are determined to keep the true form of their program by continuing to compete alongside the NTT Data IndyCar series and have done their best to keep this promise for six of these eight race weekends. Unfortunately, with so many series vying for the track time in such a short time frame, two events will stand alone with the other Road to Indy championship, the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.

July 9-10 Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin
July 29-30 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH
August 7-8 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH (RTI only)
August 21 Lucas Oil Raceway, Indianapolis, IN
September 3-4 Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis, IN (RTI only)
September 11-13 Portland International Raceway, Portland, OR
September 18-19 WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, CA
October 23-25 Streets of St Petersburg, St Petersburg, FL

This week's event at Road America, will commence Thursday and Friday, prior to the IndyCar race on Saturday and Sunday, with strict COVID-19 protocols implemented for all teams and competitors. The four day event is open to race fans at a limited capacity with restricted access to the drivers and teams.

Race fans can catch all the on-track action from the comfort of their own home with access to live audio and timing & scoring on the Road to Indy TV app and the Road to Indy TV website at Michael d'Orlando will be driving the #4 car. Tune in and show your support!
